Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@cascademountaincryo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Cryotherapy cools a targeted area of the body to ideally 39° using carbon dioxide to stimulate a natural body response. The body's response to this rapid cooling followed by the natural response of rapid rewarming triggers an immediate increase in the flow of oxygen and nutrient-rich blood cells to the area, improves circulation, increases collagen production and skin elasticity, promotes the destruction of dead cells and encourages the production of new, healthy cells.  It also increases lymphatic drainage resulting in the removal of toxins.

Yes! Cryotherapy treatments are safe for most individuals and are non-surgical, require zero downtime, and have no pain...but it will feel cold on the area we're working on.  Contraindications are provided to all potential clients prior to booking to ensure we are able to safely work on you.

YES!  However results will vary for each individual.  Factors such as service desired (aesthetic/injury/pain management), area of body being worked on, body type, level of pain, lifestyle and nutrition habits all play a role.  We will provide a treatment plan with our recommendations for number of sessions to achieve optimal results based on your initial consultation.

Potential side effects are minimal and cause no harm.  You'll feel cold on the area being worked on which is initially shocking to most...but with each session you get more used to it. Some individuals will experience temporary redness on the area where treatment was performed but that goes away quickly.
